Yes, I know that Auguste and Louis Lumiere were among the earliest filmmakers in the history of cinema. I do believe some credit should go to Guglielmo Marconi for the radio - but he was Italian and not French. As for Joseph N. Niepce, he was a pioneer in photography, and Pasteur was credited for his discovery of the Rabies vaccine.

Their contributions and their names live on in History. Merci.
