If they really are fair and balanced, should Faux news not have covered the truth about the Plame incident, and the book by McClellen that proves Bush lied? Instead, they spend 48 hours live in Aruba covering the 2 year old story of Holloway. Does anyone really believe that Faux news if fair and balanced? I know this conservative does not. How about you?

It shows where Fox's priorities are. Of course that's been obvious for quite a while. The job of Fox network is to cover Bush's back. Most informed people know that.
Fair and balanced? Ha!

"News" stopped being news along time ago. All media, lib and conserv would rather do stories about Britney and Paris and Lindsay . . . .or whoever the drunk celebrity of the week is, rather than covering things that are important. Americans want to fat and happy, and if the news covers body bags, candidates that are not a D or an R, homeless people or how bad the schools are, well, they just don't want to hear it. Americans are the most poorly informed, non-participatory people in the world. Give us the SUV's, ipods, mp3 and a few cell phones so we can talk about the Raiders and getting our toenails painted, and we are happy. If Homer Simpson ran for president, there would be no other candidates because they would realize he would win with 99% of the vote.

for all who say nothing illegal was committed: let's hold an investigation.

if you have nothing to hide...?

PS - in the house, it's called impeachment. The Senate, upon conviction, has the power to remove the President and Vice President from office.

I say we investigate. If FOX were truly looking for the news that would benefit the nation, Roger Ailes wouldn't be Roger Ailes.

Let's get this out of the way. I do not in ay way, shape or form support GWB. I dislike him intensely.

But McClellan's book is far from proof. I don't think a court would give this information a lot of creedence.

That being said, when was Fox ever fair and balanced?

When America was a great country the media was bound by certain rules to provide both sides of a story with well researched opinion and fact. Under "Ray-gun" (the begining of the end) the media was given carte blanche on what they reported and how. The news no longer needs to be relevant or true and Fox takes full advantage of the relaxed control.

they're the "missing white girl network"...funny how "new evidence" surfaced in the case...it'd be interesting to see how much foreign aid Aruba receives from the U.S.

[edit] Economy
Main article: Economy of Aruba
Aruba enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean region and the lowest crime rate; low poverty and unemployment rates are also positives for Aruba. About half of the Aruban gross national product is earned through tourism or related activities. Most of the tourists are from Venezuela, the European Union (The Netherlands, Spain, England) and the United States ( East/ south), which is Aruba's largest trading partner. Before the Status Aparte (secession from the Netherlands Antilles), oil processing was the dominant industry in Aruba despite expansion of the tourism sector. Today, the influence of the oil processing business is minimal. The size of the agriculture and manufacturing sectors also remains minimal.

The G.D.P. per capita for Aruba is calculated to be around $23,600, one of the highest in the Americas.

Deficit spending has been a staple in Aruba's history, and modestly high inflation has been present as well. Recent efforts at tightening monetary policy may correct this. Aruba receives some development aid from the Dutch government each year, which will cease in 2009 as part of a deal in which the Netherlands will lower its financial help to the island each successive year. The Aruban florin is pegged to the United States dollar, with a fixed exchange rate where 1.79 florin equals 1 U.S. dollar.

In 2006 the Aruban government has also changed several tax laws in order to further reduce the deficit. Direct taxes have been converted to indirect taxes as proposed by the IMF. The inflation for 2006 has been calculated at 2.5%.

Aruba has possibly the second largest seawater desalinization plant in the world (Saudi Arabia has the largest.)

1. you are not now, nor were you ever conservative.

2. The book proves that people will say anything to sell a book and make money.

3. Besides this rant of yours, where is your PROOF of your assertions?

4. If Fox news is that bad why are you and so many other liberals on this forum watching it 24/7/365?

2007-11-23 10:40:36 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 4 6

McClellen later said that Bush did not lie and that the excerpt that was used was taken out of context. Why do liberals take things out of context and try to bolster their lies? Is it because they cannot argue issues? They always resort to character assassination.
