Women are not good at spacial thinking. They find it hard to estimate distance and speed, and to base decisions on that in matter of seconds. That's also why most women cannot enjoy football matches. Women are more focused on social relations.
At the same time, men can be horrible drivers but that's for another reason: because men like to take risks and can be reckless. Take a quiet and stable man who doesn't need to prove anything; and he will always be a better driver than a woman.

i would like to state that i myself am a woman i've been driving for 11 years now and i've never had an accident. i'm a good driver as a matter of fact- even tho i agree with u. most women are horrible drivers and aren't all that well thought out at times.

Statistically, Men are worse drivers, if you go by insurance facts alone. Although, like stated above, women say they can multi-task, and yet, when it comes to driving and cell phone's, or putting on make up, they can't. You either see them swervering between lanes, or just not paying attention and cutting other drivers off.

No offense to women, but i've seen this many time's in the last 10 years, and it's getting worse.

Mostly, yes. If you deal in FACTS: women have more crashes per mile than men; women have more crashes in a given time period than men. (That is, crashes for each 100,000 miles driven or for every thousand hours of driving.)
Women are considered to be safer drivers because they do not drive as much as men, thus each woman is in fewer crashes than each man.
My dog should get a good insurance rate: he has never caused a crash!
Nowadays, most women are driving with one hand, the other hand on a cell phone. They will sit there watching you come down the highway, then when you are close, they pull out in front of you. They don't seem to realize there is such a thing as lanes.
Sorta like most drivers...

To be fair in making such a statement one needs to consider such things as -----
age groups -men ages 18 -24 are twice as likely as women in the same age group to have a fatal accident.

types of accidents-- women have more minor accidents like backing into stationary objects . due to spatial problems and distractions (like 6 kids fighting) or visiting on the phone.(multitasking)

Men have the majority of fatal accidents ( head on collisions and roll overs ) causing more deaths per accident.

women are 24 % less likely to drink and drive than men are.

men are more likely to cause accidents through road rage ,breaking the law and reckless showing off.

In 33 years of driving Ive had 2 accidents,

the first one I was side swiped by a (male) drunk driver and forced off the road into a telephone pole.

the second one-- being distracted by a crying baby in the back seat ,I backed into the bumper of another car ,smashing my taillight .

So if youre truly interested in Facts .
facts are women smash more stationary objects while men kill more people.

I have to agree, women are bad drivers. But that is only because they are thinking about too many things.
example : what they should do to their hair tomorrow, what to cook for dinner, she needs to hurry up to pick up the kids, she needs to go to the store to get some salt, clothes, etc.

and it gets worse when she's talking on her cellphone...

Look, just because I drive a stick-shift while putting on panty hose, applying make-up, talking on the phone, and drinking my Diet Dr Pepper doesn't mean I am a bad driver.

I think the fact that you can't do it all makes you a bad driver. ;)

If this is true, (and I'm not sure it is) it is because women have to be doing a hundred things at one time in order to take care of everyone else's needs....
