i'm serious, when you look at how crazy, irrational, and diluted these people are, you can't help but wonder if maybe some disease has invaded their mind and taken over their thought processes. Then, it gets passed onto children, and so on.

What do you think?

Yes............Micheal Savage has written a book "Liberalism is a mental disorder"( I think that is the correct title)dealing with very issue.Liberalism is based on emotion, not on facts or common sense. An example of this would be, it is okay to kill an unborn human baby, but do not touch a whale, toad or spotted owl, that would be evil.

Of course not.

What you're actually seeing is a Meme or a group of Memes.

Mental illnesses are not. by definition, not "passed onto" children. Depression, Schizophrenia, and some addictions might be genetic in nature, but many more like Post Traumatic Stress disorder, retardation, phobias and PANDAS are just a few of the many mental illnesses that aren't.

And, um, Liberalism doesn't affect anyone's ability to operate in society, no matter what Talk radio might say. Liberals successfully graduate from college, get jobs, get married, and live as long as conservatives.

I don't think you know the definition of a Liberal. The American media, right and left spin the definition to mean someone like a Democrat. This is not at all true. The Republicans fit the text book definition of a Liberal far better than the Democrats but few people have had a Political Science-101 class. The term that describes Democrats better is "Neo-Marxists".
I think the Neo-Marxists are crazy, that's why I vote for Republicans, because I'm a classic liberal.
(Here's a hint, Liberal, root word Liberty)

I'm not sure it's as much a mental disorder as it is a failure or refusal to grow up and mature.
At one time I was actually more liberal than I am now. Mostly in that I was indifferent based on MY self justifications.
Then I grew up, got a job, raised a family and such.
Now I have met seemingly "grown up" and mature liberals in that they do have a job, are raising a family so forth and so on. But then I got to know them. They were the most miserable, angry, immature lot I have ever come across. Many, not all, but many of whom are in weird or failing marriages, their kids are all screwed up and most if not all blame everyone else for their own problems.
Point blank, liberals tend to not take responsibility for their own actions. Like it has been mentioned before, liberals act before they think and conservatives think before they act.

The best way to answer this question is to have you listen to the radio between 12 noon and 3 pm every weekday.. any good news / talk station will carry the Rush Limbaugh show, and there you will find your answer.

well anyone can take a political view and go to the extreme spectrum of such, and become deluded and self righteous. this doesnt just apply to liberalism, it can manifest itself in the extreme right too. when people start eat breathing and sleeping their politics, and acting irrational, it doesnt matter what politics they choose. to say its all one side and not the other, in itself, is deluded thinking.

If helping the poor, treating people as equals, questioning our leaders and supporting the Constitution is a mental disease, then I hope we never find the cure.

As for helping the poor and treating people as equals, seems I remember some person saying that back in ancient times. Of course he was killed for his beliefs.

As for questioning our elected officials, that's what is says in the Declaration of Independence.

And as for supporting the Constitution (free speech, speedy trails, warrants), well is that not what every good American should strive for.

And conservatives see enemies everywhere, what's your point? If the GOP is doing such a great job, how come the people of America seem so dissatisfied? Having a thirty percent approval rating, which includes a seventy percent approval rating from republicans, says a lot. Speaking of passing things along, what do conservatives think of the massive debt they are passing along to their children? Check your party line at the door and make sure brain is engaged before making stupid, ignorant statements/questions.

I think it may be an emotional disease....Conservatives think with their minds firstly then filter their conclusions through their hearts to determine what is right. On the other hand Liberals place more emphasis on what their heart tells them then filter their conclusions through their minds. Usually this style of thought leads to irrationality thus leaving them with an emotional disorder.
You cannot reason or"rationalize" with an irrational person...it is impossible. Yes they may be diseased.

No, it's a disease of the heart and spirit. The heart no longer has faith and love and without these, it makes poor decisions. The spirit is tortured and they project on to everyone around them.
No, i don't believe it's genetic, in the truest sense of passing it on... I believe it's a learned trait and an accepted standard, so the children might follow it out of familiarity, not b/c they were born with it.
