No, not necessarily. Regular tofu is high in fat. It's not a low-calorie food. There are certain brands making "lite" tofu, which would contribute lower caloric values to food.

Unless you mean that it would be so unappetizing that people wouldn't eat much of it. That might work because it is my opinion that it's not so much what you eat as how much you eat. The Nutrisystem diet plan is an example.

No, these people are heavy cause they eat in mass quantities. When I go to buffets, I always see these enormous fat people eating salads and I am like WTH. Do you think this helps? No. It's the quantity. They over do everything.
