Try a modern slant on the christmas story - as mentioned above, or perhaps a pantomine theme (pick the one that matches the donated clothes the best)?

Easy! Theme is Help the lonely stranger, homebound elderly, children living in poverty and do it not revealing your identity! Every Christmas season needs fairy godmothers or godfathers to make our season bright. Pick up a used good coat or shoes from the local thrift store. polish them and clean them up, sew on a new button and deliver to someone, even a teenager with poor parents, would appreciate this act of selfless giving. Books of happy stories is always an awesome gift too. The repayment is that when their life in the future gives them abundance, they will think of the stranger who hasn't warm clothes or looks hungry and give them some food or adequate shoes and something to keep them warm. I believe in divine providence and the reward to all the generousity is that God saw this and will remember you someday when you need it the most. Many Blessings

Corny, but what about the Nativity scene with a modern slant?
How big is the window?
Could you get a big store to donate or lend some tailor's dummies?
Brilliant question and I hope whatever you do attracts lots of custom.
Good luck and Happy Christmas....a bit early I know...

try to remember that the first Christmas consisted of people who were by no means rich. Not having money is not necessarily a bad thing..focus on what Christmas is really about and forget the Santa thing. Try dressing Mary.Joseph etc. in clothes from your store.

Here is a novelty for you. What about a theme about the real story of Christmas. You know the birth of Jesus and the wise men and shepherds etc. You could even move it on to Herod and the slaughter of young boys. Or is this not what it is all about. Oh yes it's about Robins and coaches and snow.
