Are you installing on an existing wall ie. sheetrock? If so, I probably wouldn't use the individual slats, because you'll have to construct a backing on which to nail each piece. I'd use 4x8 plywood "bead board" found at a good lumber yard. Once painted (prime first!) it looks just as nice. To install: find and mark studs (just above wainscoting to be installed). Use a straight edge and mark the floor too (can use a piece of masking tape). This way you can pencil a straight line on plywood for a straight nailing pattern. Hold ply against wall, making sure each seam is over stud. Before nailing, block plywood off floor 1/4 in. (for expansion). Use a finishing nails on seams and in field and set them. When you come to a plug outlet, make a mark on the floor where the plug is, then measure the height of plug. Hold ply against wall, mark plug opening then, cut out. Install baseboard, top cap, caulk seams, wood putty holes, paint. Good Luck
