The way the mood is all over on the eastern side Australia about Howard & Co, The election will be over before the west is actually counted, and won by Kevin Rudd,
The betting market have Rudd to pick up a few surprised Liberals seats, and even go to say they that Rudd will win probaly More than 16 and may even be up to 27 extra in total

Tight Election. Rigged votes. But still a record 20 seat swing to Labor. Then wake up in the morning content in the knowledge that all John Howard has left is to remember the times he spent sitting on Bush's lap.
Hey maybe when Obama takes over in the US and Bush is retired Johnny and George could throw a Block Party, tax payer funded of course.

I am looking for a Ruddslide or at least a minor slump. I'm voting Labor for the first time for a long time?
Why?
Two reasons:
1. A government in power too long can get complacent and needs a shake up.
2. I'm nearly sixty, I have no debt, own two houses outright, no hex to pay off, don't use credit cards; so the increase in interest-rates that comes with the sudden spending of the surplus will not bother me. The gullible young turks who think that they know how to "save" the world really need to experience what a Labor government can do to their future lifestyle - A short change will actually benefit people my age as long as enough young people stay employed at high pay rates to pay our pensions.
Good luck and be careful what you wish for!!

rudd all the way!
dont want howard/costello for another term! howard isnt even going to staying full term - he said himself, so it is basically rudd vs costello. howard has broken his promises from the last election and he brought in workchoices which is total bullshit. he didnt have my vote and he never had my trust!

luckily like gary we are in about the same sort of position, so kevin rudd can not screw us around too much, but i will still be voting LIBERAL for the sake of the kids and others i know who are still paying off their debts.
