How was your Thanksgiving Holiday ? How many of you over did it with the pies and sweets?

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I was invited to that kid's house, This kid treats me like a brother most of the time and had a great feast, and it was also my birthday. We had a great feast, and we had Turkey, real mashed potatoes w.gravy, dressing, and Yams. We also had this red sparliing wine after dinner, and pie. This kid has a beautiful home, and we all ate in the dining room, and I also consider this a big birthday dinner since it was my birthday on Thanksgiving. There were 8 people there. HIs mother and step-dad, his 2 brothers, his sister, and his sister's friend as well as myself.

I had a good time at the formal dinner I went to last night....the food was high quality....as usual. The only disappointment was missing out on the cranberry sauce....but I hope to make up for that next time! I will be doing it alllllll over again on December 1st with my family and a few friends....I am looking forward to that!

In NZ we dont celebrate thanksgiving (dont even actually know what it is let alone what it means) its just a normal run of the mill day for us, Im facinated though by what thanksgiving means to citizens of the U-S, is it like a prequel to christmas?? oh well I hope you have a great thanksgiving!!

Nice. Our land lord invited us over, and since my husband and uncle were on their way to get mom and bring her out here, it was better than being alone. We had turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, three bean salad, green beans, biscuits and 3 pies and one cheese cake (from me)! They even had a fruit punch with real fruit in it! -MMMMM- After that we talked a bit and my son and I went home to relax.... ended up with a school friend of my son's come over to escape all her relatives. She stayed til midnight!

Mine was good and I didn't have any pies, instead i baked some cookies that are healthier for you and let everyone else eat the pies...

it was okay,
it would have been complete if my dad was here,
but we all ate a good turkey and pies and other
mouth-watering food,

It was very nice. I only had one slice of pecan pie, couldn't resist. Oh, I forgot, and one small slice of birtday cake...:)

it was very nice, thanks for asking!!! and of course we over did it with the sweets!! but we got enough left over for a few days ;-)
