Posturing. He had nothing to do with 9/11, and while Iran supports anti-Israel groups and helps out the pro-Shiite groups in Iraq (that we brought to power, by the way), they don't have active ties to anti-American terrorism.

But now, wanting to bomb Iran, they're going to the same playbook that they did for Iraq - claiming they are so close to a bomb, knowing that they'd use it - despite lacking any facts to back them up, trying to mention Iran in the "War on Terrorism" despite the lack of any links to anti-American terror groups.

Banning him from 9/11 was all about PR, and to prompt questions like this one, just as they did before. I think most Fox viewers, for example, STILL think Saddam was linked to 9/11.

Don't buy into it. They guy doesn't even have much power or influence in his nation, but we make him bigger and more important and even more influential with all the fuss we make over him.

Taking into consideration the Iranian president's dangerous rhetoric and the mood of NY'rs, my guess is the visit would have demanded security challenges beyond the capabilities of the NYPD.
I think you would do well to even find a few cops that might be motivated to do the job.

Ahmindamoodforjihad naively stated? What's the problem? Why shouldn't I go? Following the theme he said: Gay? We don't have such a thing in Iran.

This guy is either full of crap or he's dumber than he looks.

I can see some answers with total lack of information .
Why people make such uneducated comments?
Any way:
1) Iran was one the first countries officially condemning 911, and thousands of Iranians, expressed their sorrow, by lighting candles. and walking.
2) Pres MAN of Iran requested visiting ground zero, to place some flowers, and pray? I think it was totally uncivilized, and inappropriate to deny his request.
3) Pres. of Iran Never said any thing bad about US while visiting.
4) He came over from the other side of the globe, to shake our hands, but we acted like barbarians ?
It's sad.

My Regards.

Well, seeing that the Iranian regime seeks destruction of Israel, deny's the reality of the holocaust, and has their people gather in Teheron and chant "death to America" on a daily basis, why should any Iranian President be allowed access to places of honor until they elect to join the civilized world?

He didn't come to the USA as a friend he wasn't our friend then and he is not our friend now. Just because a person is allowed to come into our country doesn't mean that they have the right to go and come as they please. There was no way to guarantee his safety and suppose he had been allowed to visit the site and was killed what do you think the ramifications would have been.

If the guy was legally here in the U,S,A ,we had no right to stop him,,,but as we know ,,,sometimes things happen that produce irrational behavior by Americans ,I also think this behavior could throw Bush out the white house doors if he attacks Iran...F.P

He came to OUR country and was bashing OUR country, He should of never been allowed here to talk shitz about us. He certainly didn't deserve to go to ground zero, he had no respect, and I certainly have none for him!

Because he still celebrates 9/11.
He thinks it was great.
He also believes that many liberals support his thinking.
