I'm a girl, so I wish I could just scream "YES!"
but in actual fact, I think boys are just as smart as girls are. It's just that girls mature more quickly, and are willing to be disciplined and organized at an earlier age. Thus, they do better at school and seem to be better students. But I understand that by the time boys get to be 16-19, they catch up really quickly.
I've also heard that girls are better at arts and boys are more into the sciences, but that's not necessarily true... I have a couple girlfriends who are geniuses when it comes to science.

No.
Humans are idiots full stop. Female humans are just idiots in different ways to Male humans.
While male idiocy tends to lie along the lines of acting first and thinking second..... female idiocy lies along the lines of feeling first and thinking second. The result is much the same: the thinking doesn't get done. The guys jump in and screw things up while the girls sit at the back contemplating their own butts and don't get it done at all.
Humans annoy me.
I'm exceedingly glad that I'm not one.

for Mac -- Marie Curie and Margaret Meade (just two among many)
Statistically, there is absolutely no difference in the two groups. The capacity for knowledge and learning is equal between the genders. Whether that capacity for learning is used to maximum benefit is a different matter.
Some research of the past year has shown us that women now outnumber men at American colleges but that men graduate from college at a higher rate than women (for now).

With an attitude like that, you'll go far in life. It will win you over many girlfriends.
By the way, the person with the world's highest IQ is a woman..."Marilyn vos Savant (born Marilyn Mach on August 11, 1946) is an American magazine columnist, author, lecturer and playwright who rose to fame through her listing in the Guinness Book of World Records under 'Highest IQ'."

There is much more difference within the sexes, than between them. Females tend to be less troublesome, and individualistic. Many males put far too much emphasis on sport, and physicality, games, pastimes, etc., when they would be better off applying themselves to their studies, or they will come to regret it, later in life.

There's no difference in terms of general intelligence. On average women score higher on the verbal components of IQ tests, however men score higher on tests of spatial awareness and mathematical ability. It tends to work out about even.
