My Grandfather always said that secrets fall into two categories. They are either too juicy to keep, or they are not worth repeating.....My Grandmother said she would never repeat a secret, so you better listen close the first time....I am second generation away from them, and my career has kept me under a bond of confidentiality, both in development and in human resources....What is told to me, will die with me.

Seems so - I've kept one for over 30 years, and I've kept someone else's secret for about 12 years even though it wouldn't matter if I told the people I know now.

for a certain amount of time ...i mean it depends ... on the minor secrets i find it hard to keep for more than like a year .. unless you remind me ...but major secrets i can keep ... i guess it's because i remind myself for the major secrets and on the minor secrets i think "whatever i can so keep this secret"

it depends on what kind of secret. if it's a secret that you can tell your mom about it than no.
