POSITIVE THINKING - I didn't get it, no problem life has a long way to go.
NEGATIVE THINKING - whoosh !! I got it. But what if it hadn't come to me?
POSITIVE aspects of negative thinking-
U get a nickname of being a "HUGE SPOIL SPORT".............
"DISHEARTENING HUMAN BEING"......and so on.
NEGATIVE aspects of positive thinking-
U try to find good in every deed. So even if something is only 0.01% good and nice, u take it in a clam manner.
BEING POSITIVE DOESN'T MEAN U NEGLECT THE BIG THREATS. IT ONLY MEANS THAT U HAVE A MERRY - GO -ROUND AND SWEET WAY OF SLAYING THE THREAT.

Positive and Negative Thinking
Positive Thinking
There are many forms of positive thinking, but that does not make it an easy skill to come by. The easiest way is to never start thinking in the negative way. If you do, however hard you try, begin to think bad, here is some advice to help you break your bad habit. first, discover what is making you feel bad about yourself. Second, try hard to do the opposite (note: This will take some time to get used to. Don't get discouraged and keep at it). if you procrastinate, make a schedule and stick to it. Not only will you feel better, you will be able to force yourself to do some of the things that make you feel worse. The effects of being a positive thinker are some of the most notable changes possible. People will look at you differently than they used to. you will feel better. You will get better grades from your newfound confidence. Finally you will inadvertently change into and more creative, nice, caring, and fun-to-be-around individual.
Negative Thinking
The opposite of positive, negative thinking is the easy road. It looks all good and fun, but leaves you with a sick and icky feeling inside. Negative thinking will get in your way, constantly hindering you in your everyday life. Your self esteem will drop, along with your evaluation of other people, even your friends. Negative thinking has many negative results. Some are that you will be looked down upon, both by others and yourself. Another is you won't be able to do as much because you're busy feeling bad. Finally, the worst thing that you could possibly do to yourself would be to become a negative thinker.

Positive thinking actually drives away the negativeness and negative thinking always stops you from being positive and optimistic. Example for Positive thinking:
You are going through the worst time, hoping it has to come to an end and a new day will come with lots hopes and positiveness.
Example for Negative thinking:
You are going through absolutely good times, but one thing keeps bothering you that it has to come to an end...what after that!!l

Learn to control your thoughts (they are the basis for your negative attitudes and feelings). Use the "4-S Method" of thought control. Here it is, in short form: 1. Stop sign -- When you sense a thought you don't want in your head, in your imagination hold up a huge red stop sign, perhaps being held by a stern-faced crossing guard! 2. Shout it out -- Shout at the thought, scream at it, curse at it, yell at it (all in your mind, of course!) until you can sense that it is leaving your mind. (The nice thing about the mind is that it cannot contain more than a single conscious thought at a time.) Treat it like an intruder in your mind, someone you DO NOT want in there! Get angry at it! 3. Substitute -- Have handy a sentence or thought to put in the place of the unwanted thought. Make it something strong, something positive, something you really want to believe! (Some people carry such positive or self-encouraging thoughts with them, on 3 x 5 cards.) 4. Sustain -- Keep at it. YOU CREATED THE UNWANTED THOUGHT FOR A REASON! ("Psychology of Use" says you think all your thoughts in order to get something from them!) As you kick the unwanted thought out the front door, it will turn around and try to sneak in a window or down the chimney! DON'T LET IT! Keep repeating the four S's until you find yourself to be in charge of the thought you don't want. As you become more comfortable with this, you'll find you are more in control of your whole mind, and also of your feelings. By this time next week you will be feeling much more positive, and you will be more in control of your thoughts. IF NOT, that's an indication you have chosen to continue to be negative, and that you've decided not to change your thinking.

Great question!!
Looking at the future with hope is positive thinking and with fear is negative thinking.
One positive from the negative thinking is one is always prepared mentally for the worst which helps in times of adversity.
A negative from positive thinking could be that one may get lulled into inaction or inadequate action to secure the future.
Indeed this world runs on the principle of balance and we too need a balanced mind in terms of positive and negative thinking in order to face the future properly.

Positive thinking draws up energies while negative thinking eat up your energies. That's why i go for positive thinking. Negative thinking stress me and leads to nothing. Negative puts down a person more. It doesn't do good to a person. I make it always a point to plant positive thoughts in my mind as this will harvest positive insights in life.
Good question. Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Positive of Negative - Expecting the worst, which could happen at any time could potentially save you from something bad.
Negative of Positive - Not being aware of everything or thinking that everyone will be OK no matter what could lead to downfall

Simple-- Positive thinking makes you happy
& Negative thinking makes you sad
Negative thinking has no positives..
Positive thinking has just one negative & that is dont be so positive that you ignore a serious threat.. so be positive till a realistic level.... (for e.g-- dont go in front of a lion thinking that he will be friendly with you)

+ve of negative is the secret of happiness... is appreciating everything even in the worst... i am a Dr..and was taking care of a quadriplegic 26 year old man 14 years ago, in the ICU, he was dependent on a machine to breath, we slowly became friend.. and his situation was peculiar, his wife did not leave him yet and was devoted 100%... (very rare nowadays) I asked him one day what he was feeling regarding his condition, he was sincere and said he was very happy that he had still his senses, a wife and a daughter he could feel the love, when many people who ae healthy starve for that... the positive of -ve is to be able to still see something beautiful even everything is bad, (see the half cup full) ..
the negative of the positive is that sometime thinking it will last forever, can make you not accept that you lose it, but you can still turn it to positive by being grateful for this minute of your life to have what many people never had, and if you lose it, be happy you had it one day... was i clear?...
