Being extremely sensitive can cause you to have extreme emotions.
I was an aide at a hospital and I met a patient that appeared to have the largest double chin I had ever seen. He could not speak as I rolled him to the surgical floor. He could see from my bulging eyes that I did not know what his problem was.
He motioned for paper and pen. I got it and he wrote Never Smoke. I only realized then that this was a huge tumor. I left the patient but instead of returning back to my station to get the next patient I walked into the nurses lounge because I was about to loose it. I sobbed quietly and then began trembling and blubbering...The head nurse came to me head on and asked why are you in the Nurses lounge? I stated I was about to break down and I did not want the patient to see how sensitive I had become. She said If you want to work here toughen up or look for other work. We do not have time for this........So some of the time it is best to exhibit control over my emotions.

I am myself, and no.
You're bound to get a broken heart, feel things more (which means feeling sadness and unhappiness more), and be affected by things that aren't mild.
Being sensitive gives you insight into others, but "extremely" is too extreme.

No, sweetie, it's not.
Especially not for you.
I was and maybe still am extremely sensitive, and it gets in my way very often.
It's harder to think, to feel, and much harder to deal with pain.
Try to overcome that.

The rewards are often surreal in their intoxication.
But the depths when sorrowful can be unbearable.
