I sympathise with anybody with any kind of a phobia.

I find it ironic that if we are afraid of heights, enclosed spaces, dogs, bats or balloons people might demonstrate some measure of compassion. But the moment we dare to mention a phobia of certain sexual practices - and these are entirely real and genuine - so many people get on their high horses and start lecturing.

It says a great deal of this element of the homosexual community, I think, that for all their demands for acceptance and tolerance from others they frequently show less than no acceptance and tolerance for the sensitivities of others.

Hypocrisy really is too small a word for many of the attitudes demonstrated above.

I think there's some of both. Some (and by some I mean very very few) might be born with the tendencies. I've known 2 guys who truly felt they were born homosexual. They relied on their faith for many years to abstain from a lifestyle they knew was wrong, but couldn't deny was a part of them. Since that time, both have chosen the homosexual lifestyle, and I do not judge them. I love them and sympathize deeply with their sacrifice. However, I do believe that as children are raised now in a society that believes in gender ambiguity. At a time when, biologically they are confused about their hormones, we tell them it doesn't matter if they are boy or girl - masculine or feminine. So, then, it becomes their choice. I do believe that gender is eternal though. God made man and woman.

first of all, one may need to invest in something called SPELL CHECK, located top right of question boxes.

Secondly it is HIGHLY suspect you should claim to be born an ignorant ***.

Thirdly if you think that being homophobic is something you can be born WITH, then you may need to seek pshycological help. It is widely known homophobic attitudes are DEVELOPED as a result of a "religious" up bringing, (or white supremacist) or you are really trying to tell the world you like hot anal sex with other men.

And finally there is no sympathy what so ever for small minded, ignorant, waste of space people with an attitude like that.

Mike you can be homophobic, but I dont understand where the idea of smashing someone's face in (example) with a sledgehammer comes into play, just because you don't like their sexual habits with humans

And for those of you who think that someone homophobic is actually in denial of their true feelings...This is such a crock, cause I have an aversion to fat people, I am not fat and don't want to be fat and think that fat people look repulsive. At the same time, i'm not running around trying to kill and mame fat people because I'm disgusted by them (example)

I have nothing against homophobic people as such, indeed some of my friends and people I work with are homophobes, just so long as they don't touch me or try to share a drink with me I'm fine with it.

You'll get no sympathy from me. If your homophobic is just appears that you are totally ignorant and have no intention of enlightening yourself.....silly man.
Oh, and born that way?
Stop talking through your backside. Fool.

I am just curious, the possibility of some connection between that you hang around gay category for some time and that you over-express your reluctance to the homosexuality though you do not really seem to need to.

For me, I am here because I am quite interested in homosexuality as the subject to explore and think about (because to me, it's something very new).

I suggest you think about if or not you can confidently assert that you are 100% trusted heterosexual?

do you use the same reasoning why perhaps people might find you 'ugly',or dislike white ppl or other races or classes of ppl?
Homophobia is either a religous or social learned reaction to acts and or a way of life,it is also hate, and judgement.
Do I have sympathy for something you learned which is hatred hec no.

'ello again!

Not it isn't your fault, but you weren't born with it - unfortunately it is society and parental behaviour that teaches us the 'rights' and 'wrongs'.

If homosexuality was so bad and so wrong nature would not have a helping hand in it - it is here for a reason like all those dreadful diseases - to control population/species....at a guess.

It's difficult to change what we have learned. But that is what happens in life, we change all the time. When you put your knowledge based on logic into action, you will not need sympathy.
