I was just wondering who else sees a problem with all the anti-terror measures being implemented even today to supposedly combat terrorism. I mean the constitution wasn't meant to be changed but just certain ammendments added without changing the meaning of the law. Read the new FISA act, The Military Commision Act, The Protect America Act, and the newly Homeland Terrorism Prevention Act which can basically label anyone who dissagrees with the administration a terrorist. I suggest you people in America get your heads out of your asses and wake up before you are enslaved to your leaders and the elites. The constitution can't protect you if you don't protect it!

i have read it, and yes it is being gutted, stomped on and burned. the patriot act took a big chunk of it. and you are a very smart person, you are correct in saying the constitution cant protect you if you cant protect it. but believing anything the politicians tell you and following blindly isnt protecting it, it is giving permission to throw it out the window, we need to be more critical of our system and our officials.

Actually we started really shredding it in 1913 with the Federal Reserve Act. What their doing now is a coup de grâce for all intents and purposes. My best guess is that parts of our government are just trying to kill us quick and move their interest to Asia where the money is expected to be. Thats the only logical explanation for quick massive accumulation of debt, war to increase expense many more times and reduced taxation for income at the same time. They are trying to bankrupt us so that we can't possibly compete with their new cash cow.
They have done a fine job of it too.

Yes. But the excuse "for your own good" is the common phrase used from both sides of the political aisle. Not only are the acts you mentioned bending the "rules" but are all treated equal when Hate Crimes are passed, is freedom of speech not restricted when P.C. requirements are made law?

The founding documents are being strained but they have been for years and the pendulum swings one direction to the other and we will just have to see what direction it will swing next year.

stepped on disrespected yes
gutted ? no only congress and the people can do that.
there is a system by which the constitution can be amended.
alot of judges and hypocrite foreigners have moved in and try to twist the language of the constitution, and of course there are lawyers milking the wording to fit their causes.

Gutted? No, because those acts shouldn't supercede the Constitution.

Minimalized and ignored? Yes. It's still there, and still ready to regain its proper place, once our elected representatives choose to stand up for it.

Not necessarily gutted perse. It still is intact,it's just ignored by the courts and congress. (congress makes the laws and the courts rule on it,the President really has no say.)
