Didn't know the Quoram covers astronomy also.
And yes, they are all white, with blue eyes and blond hair

Hello,
I personally don't know much about the Quran, however i do know that human beings have been developed specifically for life on this planet. Our circulatory system works with Earths gravity, our eyes are adapted to the visible spectrum for our primary star, and so on and so on. It may be that the Quran was referring to extraterrestrial beings as "people" because at the time it was written there was no better word or concept.

I don't take religious teaching as guides but it sounds like they were very enlightened about that subject. The universe is millions of times more vast than they could have guessed when the Quran was written. It is highly doubtful there would be anything you would call a person on a different planet but there could be life on countless trillions of solar systems even if the conditions for life were rarely met.

Considering the number of galaxies in the Universe and the total number of stars in it and the massive number of planets revolving around these billions and billions of stars, it is highly likely that somewhere in this huge wide universe, there exists extra-terrestrial life.
The Drake Equation is such an equation which calculates the probability of life existing on other planets. The rough estimation says that there is a possibility of intelligent life existing in 10,000 planets.

Hello Dice:
Well, it is rather unlikely that "people", as we understand the meaning of the word to refer to human beings, live on
different planets sircling around distant stars way out there in space. On the other hand, it is most certain that if an earthlike planet is found by the various teams around the world that are searching for one right now (www.exoplanet.org), it might have some forms of life on it. Those life forms might range from worms, to insects and fish, to birds and even some forms of mammals.
However, life on Earth has undergone a rather unique series of events in the process of reaching its current situation today. Researchers tell us that there have been at least three occasions in Earth's history when horific events caused widespread extinctions of life on Earth. Most people have heard of the one that caused all of the dinosaurs to die. It is most unlikely that some other planet way out in space might have undergone "exactly the same series of events, in the same order and time span that triggered the ability of one particular species of mammals to Think and Calculate
(Human Beings). Given the total number of species of insects and the huge number of species of fish (as compared to the number of different kinds of mammals) it is much more likely that one of them might develop the extra large brain feature which permits one to Think and Calculate the way Man does. Look at the Porpoise and the Dolphin. They are reported to be highly intelligent fish. It would take just one little special event to produce thinking in them.
So to complete this answer, it is highly likely that other life forms exist elsewhere, but not very likely that human beings like us exist on other planets. Whatever exists out there in deep space will certainly be a highly developed life form that has specific adaptations to permit the best survival on that planet and in the conditions that exist there.

Well, I'm going to believe there is at least one other planet out there in this vast universe that has water, oxygen and sun light that involved in the basics of life evolution. I also think life forms evolve in a predictable pattern in a given environment, from non-life to life, the DNA building blocks, very very slowly simple life forms evolve into complex life forms, if it can happen on Earth. And based on my bet that there is at least one other planet out there has similar environment, the evolution from non-life into life, and eventually into life with a DNA very close to human being, is possible.

i can not call people like we are used to call our self but i`m pretty sure of the existence of other kind of life in some other planets. we human are so limited in our knowledge of what is going beyond what we can see or reach with our means that we cannot exclude the existence of other lives in this our world

No other people (Human Beings) live on any other planet except Earth. There may be other life forms on other planets but no people.

If all of us live on this tiny little planet in a space that goes beyond any man's comprehension where there are galaxies beyond galaxies.....millions and millions of light years......I believe anything is possible. I don't think that we are the only race in existence.
Where does space end? What lies beyond space if it does?
