It depends on the situation, I usually apologise, but still make excuses - for myself. Would you agree, that it's always a pity to be guilty.

Make excuse on convincing as mistake and not always.No hesitation to apologise on pointing out mistakes ,if any.

Well I don't make excuses a lot, but only if its really really bad. I mostly apologize for them.

As long as I see clearly to know that i've made a mistake, i can appologize with no big problem. The problem is how to see my mistakes..

For the most part, if I "blunder with my thunder." I will certainly take
credit for it and apologize.
Have gone as far as letting the kids,"give me a couple smacks w/belt." (they were young 7 - 10) When Dad makes a "Boo-Boo"
falsely accusing one of them for something.
Oddly enough, "they didn't want to do it!"......."I insisted!"....lol
