Oh yes, and I love the embroideries from Greek islands mostly. I also like very much the Fayum portraits they have. And I will admit that I have visited the restaurant more times than the exhibitions themselves!

Yes I have, but I always preffer the National Museum of Athens, because I simply preffer the periods its exhibits come from.

It is my favorite one. There are exhibits of all historical periods of Greece, and a unique collection of traditional Greek embroideries and costumes.
There is also a very important collection of Muslim art, and the Efmorfopoulos collection of Chinese pottery.
Not to mention the fabulous collection of Bysantine and post-Bysantine icons.
And ofcourse the Fayum portraits, even if few.
I think it's the whole world's museum.

Yes, it is a great museum! I really liked the gold jewelry, the details on some of those pieces is just amazing!

yes, many times as my parents are very fond of museums (my mum is an aghiogrfos, so you can understand) and they were taking us since we were little...

Personaly I am very fond of the archeological collection but I can't pick a favorite since they are all part of our history...
