I am looking for a clear set of instructions on how to properly make a polo neck placket with buttons--that is a buttoned opening that only goes part way down the front of the shirt. I've searched the internet with no good results. If you know for sure of a link to this technique, please provide it--OR, if you have experience with this type of placket and can give me step by step instructions, even better! Thanks for any help.

On all the ones I've made, you iron some interfacing to stiffen the placket pieces, then sew them with their right side facing the wrong side of the shirt. Then you flip the placket pieces around to the outside of the shirt, fold the raw edge under, and topstitch it down.
