How do you determine a home Addressee?
does the # go up by the house next door or across the street or what? do they increase by 1 or 2 numbers or decrease by 1 or 2 numbers. Thats kind of confusing but i hope you get what im trying to say so thanks if you reply...

Depends on where you live.

It may be done by the building dept, the fire dept, dept of public works, etc.

In the US, odd and even numbers are on opposite sides of the street. The property next door to yours will increment or decrement by at least 2 but it can be more than that and often is. My street address is 2171 but the neighbor to the north is 2137 and the one to the south is 2199.
