I would say unconditional. Now TRUST, that is earned and dependent.

Trust is built in, not earned, just tarnished from time to time.

I agree that Love should be/IS unconditional and constant.
If it isn't unconditional it isn't love....
Trust ..that depends.
Trust in the process of life? yes we should. Totally. Life is an infinitely good deal.
Trust in other people.. relative..because humans are fallible. How many, if they are honest, can really, truly, trust themselves. So I think we have to be realistic about people and allow them a little leeway, otherwise we are bound to be disappointed at some point and we have to ask is it fair to burden someone to that extent? Life is unpredictable, thank heavens, no-one can predict what they might do in any given circumstances. So we should trust enormously, but not make shackles for others with our expectations.

I don't believe love is unconditional. Most love exists on the condition that the ones who experience it have met one another.
Unconditional love means you would love them even if they tried to murder you, if they tried to murder somebody you love, if they turned out to be a pedophile, or if they were lying to you about everything in order to con you out of money. They're all extreme examples, but those are the kinds of litmus tests I think should be applied to love in order to determine whether or not it's unconditional. That's what unconditional means.
