I think earth is doing ok just ok not great. Our children, the ones that make something of themselves via higher education and have common sense as well, will help to get earth in better shape for themselves and their children. We didn't have the technology our children will have and the education some of our children will have. We didn't leave the house a mess, we cleaned it before we left it but largely didn't know that it was cleaned in a dirty way.

Well those two.. my house and the earth or not even comparable. I have no control over how messy this earth gets nor do I my neighbors house. But I do have control over my own house and whether I will keep it messy are clean, and that is what my child will inherit

Actually I DO leave my house in a mess thank you very much! And when I'm on the brink of death I'll hire someone to clean it up nicely for my kids to inherit.

No, my house is not a mess . But I can see your point about leaving the earth in the same state as it was originally clean and environmentally sound. To survive on this planet we must keep to the philosophy of sound ecology and each one of us bears that responsibility.
