What's an appropriate punishment for being a deadbeat parent?

~how about public humiliation...picture in paper. forced to stand of the corner with a sign saying deadbeat parent, or a big D on the forehead~

Well, some participating parents would do more good without the privilege, but realizing that not everybody should have children is the first thing to understand. Far as punishing a deadbeat, there are too many variables in the question, such as whether you are half of a parenting couple, whether you are the woman or the man, whether it's just a matter of money in your question, and whether one of your parents is the deadbeat.

Having the child tell the parent they are a deadbeat parent. I think that is harsh in itself.

Flat generic beer for life, cheap-a$$ed mexican chain-store take out vouchers as food stamps instead of half their welfare, vehicle ownership limited to under 200 c.i. capacity, community service wearing a big fuzzy animal suit handing out flyers in Florida, boot camp run by Dr. Phil or the T.V. evangelist of their choice, and chemical castration.

20hrs a week community service & garnished wages. It should show up on their record when trying to get a job and they wouldn't be able to leave the country.
