There are tons of good ones. Monetarily, the best values are in San Jose, Cartago and Turrialba. Generally the schools on the beach are relatively expensive and things tend to be more relaxed and students less interested in Spanish and more interested in experiencing Costa Rica's beach and night life.

There are lots of good schools. It depends on your length of stay and whether you want things such as Spanish and volunteering together. Intensa, the Costa Rican Language Academy, ICADES (volunteering) CPI (Heredia and Monteverde) are just some examples.

A reputable language school will supply you with references and should have some way for you to get college credit if you want to pay extra.

It is low-priced, the academics are particularly engaged, and I spent one of the most first-class elements of my travel on this little the city. Also, the house owners of the institution (Sarah and Twoine) are very lively in the neighborhood, so there are plenty of possibilities to fulfill Ticos and train spanish with them. They are particularly pleasant and you are going to now not discover a higher position to be taught, I most likely did not. Also, the institution presents designated premiums on the hostel even as you're taking courses. You may also get breakfast and lunch integrated for a small price. The hostel additionally arranges day journeys to volcanos and cloud forests. The the city is small however an lively and pleasant group. There is an ATM correct subsequent to the grocer and tons of latest areas to check out for dinner. Tia's vegetarian eating place is GREAT!!! (I'm now not a vegetarian, however I critically regarded it after having fun with her meals) San Jose is a brief bus trip away in case you wish to soak up a futbol recreation, save, or enterprise out to exclusive elements of Costa Rica. I further the entire further data, considering the fact that it particularly greater my studying revel in and helped me include what I was once studying into forming new friendships and establishing a deeper experience of "the truly Costa Rica." If making a decision to head there, I desire that you've as a lot amusing as I did!!! Pura Vida!

This summer I came from Intercultura. I spent 2 weeks at the Heredia campus and 2 weeks at the beach campus. It was definitely one of the more affordable choices and all their teachers are properly licensed. Overall I was really happy with my choice. Their weekend excursions were amazing and the employees were very helpful and friendly. I also just found out that it was featured on the show Passport to Latin America on the Travel Channel, which is pretty exciting.

Good luck and have fun on your trip!
