I've never looked at the age or other statistics of a person who is giving an answer. I've always just paid attention to the quality of the answer itself.
Would I take a 14 year old as seriously as an adult? It all depends on what the question and answer were. If I was asking a question about a situation that is common to adults but that no 14 year old would have any real experience with then I'd be less likely to take the 14 year old as seriously as the adult. If it was a general question that needed an answer based on general knowledge, then it would be silly to automatically assume that the older person knows more. Same for situations that a 14 year old may have just as much experience with as an adult.

Sometimes, some adults aren't very "adult" anyways if you know what I mean. Besides, if I wanted to know the best video game for Xbox or something like that, I would rather ask a 14 year old than an adult.

Yes, if the question is something a 14 year old would understand better than an adult.

Yes, a 14 year old can be as mature as an adult. It really depends on what they say and base it on your own knowledge to see if you should take it seriously.

It depends on the person. I know some kids who are extremely mature, and adults that act like toddlers. I would take those 14 y/o's answers over those adult's any day!

depends on the situation
A 14 year old may not have as much experience as an adult, but adults can be jaded

yes...of course i do, rather i'm much more careful when i answer their question...because thats a very sensitive age and a wrong information (or a rude way of talking...or anything) may have more serious impact on them than on the adults.
