My ex husband is one of those so I will make it clear:
Love
Pity
Hatred
Fear
Worry
Disgust
All of these things I have felt at one time or another. Its a terrible thing to have to go through to watch someone you love being torn apart piece by piece by something they have little or no control over. That is all I have to say about that.-Rachel.

the thing is there is no right answer to this question.....it is not a one dimentional problem, and affects many people from all walks of life with all sorts of values and ideals, and reasons to why and how they got involved in the first place. The people I feel sorry for are the ones that love the addict, and get dragged into the mire just because someone they loved made a bad choice.

I can't hate anybody I don't personally know. I can say that I hate the drug though. I do think that I feel compassion for them as human beings. Even if they did put themselves there. I feel pity for their families that have to suffer through their addiction as well.

That's a hard one to answer.I have two friends that have gone through that with their kids and it's sad.My one friends son died from it and my other friend is still going through it with her daughter and is also raising her two grand children. I have seen them cry so much.It's a bad addiction and only they can get help if they want it.I know it wouldn't be hatred because we shouldn't hate anyone but I'm not to sure about pity.I've never experienced that for myself and thank God my kids didn't do drugs.My heart goes out to the parents of these people and as the old saying goes "walk a mile in my shoes."I'm a firm believer in not judging other people because I belive we have but one judge and that is God.All we can do is try to support our friends in those trying times and be there if they need us.You know help is out there,they just need to make up their minds what it is they want in life.I'm sure we all have our faults in one way or another and we have all made mistakes but hope we learned from them and try to do better and make better decisions.We can hope these people get help.Sorry,didn't mean to get on a soap box.

Well ...we should not always look into one direction that start doing hatred to them......Cuz anybody in drugs can not have same reson as of other....So without knowing the reality we should not take the decision.......First get to know that what that thing pushed the person in that world.....then think of Solution.......After all thqat person is also human being and think thqat he/she was never like that......so there must be some reason.................
circumstances can happen with anybody....
so...first think and then action

Treat them as normal people.
Teach them to get away from drugs. There might be a lot emotional things that might be going in them that keeps them attached to drugs. Their social problems or some mental problems might be a reason.

WE All hate them, They bed,
BUT no one try to understand them we need to understand Them why they become drug addict we have to find reason and try to remove that from our society >>..
So don't hate them and try to help them
They gave us opportunity for understand weakness of society so understand it and remove it

ADDICTION IS A DISEASE AND ADDICTED PERSON IS A PATIENT .YOU CAN NOT HATE NEITHER PITY ON THAT PERSON .YOU HAVE TO GIVE HIM A TREATMENT.SO JUST TREAT THEM MEDICALLY.

I hate drug addicts... but we have to help them realize that what they are doing is bad... it could kill them.
