Is USC the best film school for networking to break it into Hollywood as a Director?

AFI is probably the best. And don't forget UCLA.
And always remember, that of all the film schools freshmen, a negligible precentage actually become 'Hollywood directors' :-)

CSULB specializes in the Film industry and have some notable Alumni like Steven Spielberg

...It's also more affordable then USC
