It would be fun and interesting to know how many people actually read our questions. There has been a suggestion done to ask for a counter on each question. All you need to do to support this suggestion is to vote. Click on the link and click on the thumbs up to vote.
If you want 2 points for answering the question, just type done after you have voted.

PB: open the comment that you want voting on, copy and paste it into the open question. You may find it easier if you open two tabs to paste it across.

MJ: to copy and paste you can do it two ways. So to copy MJ in the start of this sentence you would put the mouse before the M and left click. Hold the left mouse button down and move the blue higlight mark along to the end of the sentence. Right click to select copy from the drop down menu.
Open the document you want to paste into and
right click select paste from the drop down menu.
The second way is to highlight the sentence (instructions above). Then on your keyboard hold down control button and press the letter C on the keyboard to copy. Click on your mouse button to select where to put the copied item and on your keyboard press and hold control and the letter V. You must hold down control
button to do keyboard commands. This button is at the bottom left hand side near your space bar.

MJ: you can not stipulate how somebody gets points for answering a question. People may want to vote on the suggestions board and not bother to collect the two points. My suggestion is that by typing done, then they can also get the two points and chance of a best answer (10 points).
You can stipulate if you want facts only. No opinion, facts backed up with references. Then if people answer opinion they are in violation of community guidelines and you can report them them as a violation for not answering your question. The same goes if they type Idk or I don't know to your question.

good girl we have the right link now
everybody that spend a lot of time and energy writing detailed answers would be interested,
to know if we are talking to ourselves or more .
to realize that there is a larger audience who just read but not participate
will be an incentive
but to find out that your answers stay in single numbers may also be a reason to think about doing something else
Only those who give shallow answers and are here only for the points or to relieve some boredom ,would not care
so the answers here and in Twilights question are somewhat revealing ,cleaning the sheaf from the grain so to speak
Everybody who cares `please follow this link and write something positive
but joHn0¡¡¡ has a point just the counter is not enough there should be a positive or negative click ,but not like the thumbs which can eliminate people for reasons other than merit .
something like a automatic choice thumb that has no other effect but as a counter .
but for the rest he is wrong ,if you take half an hour to compose an answer is it so vain to know if any body actually will read what you write ?
obviously he has never put a lot of time or effort in his answers .

Does Adan V mean The House of the Scorpion, by Nancy Farmer? It's SciFi, so not really "real life," but it's VERY good, and the main character definitely goes through some trying ordeals - prejudice, betrayal, people trying to kill him, those kind of things. It deals with some big issues, too. The books you said you like are all for adults, and this is YA, so you might not like it, but the only difference, when it comes to this particular book, is that there isn't swearing or dirty stuff and the book mostly focuses on the main character's adolescence, with some childhood and no adult years.

Honestly, I don't really care either way. What I want is a way to notify you when the asker of a question you've answered has added more details. I know personally I have asked questions, and people have asked for more info, i've added it, then the people don't respond back. I know some people don't ever intend on comming back, but I know from experience sometimes you simply forget to check back. And since not everybody has e-mail enabled on their profile, it would make things a lot easier.

No because i'm sure i am not the only one that clicks on question and then finds out there true meaning and refuse to answer ignorant questions. This counter is for someone self-conscious who is desperate for attention besides how can yahoo know if someone just clicked on it and read it?.
