Eric Clapton, I think. He has been with and worked with The Yardbirds, Cream, John Mayall's Blues Breakers, and Derek & The Dominoes, The Dirty Mac, and Blind Faith.

Edit: Joe Walsh was with The James Gang, and The Eagles. Don Henley always played the drums for The Eagles.

Frank Sinatra has played with more musicians than anyone I can think of. I'm assuming that you consider voice an instrument since musicians do.

well I most likely will not have been in the most, but 4 legitimate ones and 3 sort of legitimate ones playing guitar/bass/synth, but mostly guitar.
