When I restart the pc and it boots the cd
it says press any key to continue with cd
and then something from the instalation appears
and before it finishes loading the pc restarts
by itself. How do I fix this problem?

I think if you already have XP then you shouldn't put the boot disk in the CD ROM until the stuff hits the fan. Just start as normal and hide the disk.

Were you following the directions for slipstreaming? Did you download the correct boot-sector image? Which CD burning program did you use?

Double-check the steps you took and compare them to the instructions that you were following.

Did you have a legitimate WinXP installation CD to start out with? Or did you download something nefarious?
