'Follow your instincts.' People love to give advice like this. They urge each other to listen to the 'still, small voice inside'. This would be easy if there were only one voice to listen to. The task is harder when you appear to have an entire choir singing different messages from various parts of your psyche. It is not even as if they are singing in harmony. One part of you now is pushing you to move in a particular direction. Another clearly wants you to do the opposite. You cannot use your intellect alone to decide what to do, for you have to follow your heart now. But you can at least use your brain to work out which part of your heart to follow

I personally belive that we as consumers have been lead to believe that we "need" all of these ridiculous and sometimes expensive products - because if we don't have the latest and greatest, then - something is wrong with us.
We are becoming brain dead in that we allow these fools in advertising to make us think that we "need" this junk that is thrown at us all day and every day.
Like the Christmas " season". We are bombarded with advertising and the like as early as July at some places. I always say that it is shoved down our throats!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are like turkeys in that they do not have enough sense to get out to the rain.
We purchase all of these items on our wonderful charge cards ( sarcastic!!) that allow us to get in debt faster than ever. How sad is that, that we are valued by the amount of this junk that we buy each other, many times praying that the charge card will go through - so that we can impress one another. Then after the "spirit of Christmas" is over, we once again we can be nasty and hateful to one another!!!!
AREN'T WE A SAD LOT OF FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!

i think the concept of MRP is the biggest problem. .the shopkeepers generally refuse to accept any price lower than the MRP.. as the name suggests, it is the maximum retail price ,not the only selling price & the consumer has the ful right to get the least price..
