I agree with SkaRox on this one! You need a social life away from work to meet friends you can hang out with.
Join a Club for an interest that you have. Many people meet someone nice in a hobby club. Even if you don't meet that "special person" straight away you can make many good and valuable friends; and enjoy social events with them.
If you don't have a Big Hobby, many people meet through volunteering. Join a modern eg jive class like "Ceroc" or "LaRoc" (lots of laydeees go to these classes) and you get to dance with them all during the lesson (How tough is that!!!).
I am an only child and have spent most of my life between girlfriends (only kids tend to be "loners" in the nicest possible way.)Now I've just turned 50 I think I should be settling down.
Last night I went to a Show with friends I made years ago in a Hobby Club. At the Show a lady I know from another group came up smiling , said "Hello" and gave me a friendly kiss on the cheek.
You know what happens in a New York Minute (Ans-Everything can change)
Good Luck with your socialising "IAILWY"- Go and make some friends you turn into lifetime partners.
P.S.- 2nd Prize is that you get good friends and have good times anyway.

bless your heart. i feel the same way. I do as im told. . or as society tells us. I go to school to graduate as something to fit into society. I work to pay for bills and things i need in life. I do all i can to survive and keep food on the table and clothes on my back. but when its all said and done. Who will i come home to?
Where is prince charming and the suicidal romeo?
where is the man to hear about my day and really care about listening?
this is life darling.
we just have to wait and see what it brings us.

Desparation will lead you to the wrong one, after all good things come to those who wait,perherps she is just in front of u wishing you could notice her, so hey try opening your eyes wider around you.

Its weird, the choices you make every moment can change your life. You could meet her by going out to get coffee....seeing her at a restaurant....or by posting a question on YA. :P
