From experience, the pizza parties, the beer, the missed assignments, the late-night dude, we-have-to-go-out-and-get-laid-oh-and-by-the-way-do-you-have-any-gas-money parties to boot. Which, by the way, all of this costs money and guess who pays? Yep, EVERYONE who has more than ten cents to their name every time. That's why you're much better off living off-campus with a room-mate or three.

fraternities is a system in college which allows you to meet many people, namely other fraternities and sororities, making many friends in the process. this access to networking doesn't come cheap, as one has to pay lots of dues to join a fraternity, hence you are paying for your friends.

Because you are paying monthly dues that are outrageous! you are basically paying people to be friends and "brothers or sisters." yes they are a tight knit group and all but i still say Why pay for friends when they are easily made.
