He managed to get Governor Davis recalled because of an $8billion State debt.
He promised to fix that. When he didn't, he promised that passing $50billion in bond issues ($100billion to pay off) would fix everything.
California still has a debt of over $8billion and growing plus the obligation to pay $100billion against his bonds, and budgets are still being slashed.
Who got the money?
You'd think California would have learned after the first fiasco with an actor that they don't know what they are doing.
Where is all the bond-issue money?????

A very good example of the influence the media has on politics. An unqualified person that the media loves, pushing really stupid ideas, and he is still the darling of the evening news.

His fata morganna seems to bedazzle the public. Can anybody think of a worse candidate than a Kennedy Republican?

Does Calif. use those voting machines made in Fla.? That could explain a lot, easily subverted to steal an election. As I recall, Da Schwartz's bond measures were solidly turned down by the voters. Then with a renaming they were trotted out with billions spent of a hard-sell campaign and the vote went the other way, or so we are told.

All politicians are actors, but the ones from Hollywood (Hullyvud?) seem to be able to bamboozle the press with no trouble.

Sad to say, the Governator has not gotten our state our of debt. He does try to save money, though; but it's always at the expense of programs which help the poor and needy. All in all, I'd rather have Davis back in the Governor's chair.

A complete sham of course. Schwarzenegger is a complete fraud and a puppet of those "special interests" he loves to harp about.

He obviously hates children and the elderly, and is another one trying to fool people into believing that universal health coverage (mandatory insurance) is the same thing as health care, which it is not. Calif. already has mandatory auto insurance, and ever since that was put in place, the actual coverage has gone down the tubes.

And that's "debt" not "dept".
