about a month and 10 days ago i had unprotected sex. about a week later my stomach started to hurt and it still hurts to this day over a month later...i looked up pregnancy symptoms and noticed i had quite a few of the signs. the day i should of gotten my period has already passed but last night i started to have light bleeding and today it got a little heavier but it's not real bad like a normal period. i thought for sure i was pregnant but i don't know now since i'm having what seems like a period. i've looked up so much stuff online to try to get answers but i've found all diffrent kinds of stuff for everything so i don't know what to believe. i never took a pregnancy test because it's like impossible for me to go to the store alone because i don't have a car so i'm always with friends and i didn't want to tell anyone about this. so i guess my question is...is it possible to be over a month pregnant and still have what seems like a period, could i of had a misscarraige? i'm confused

It is possible to be pregnant and have what seems to be a period. Sometimes this is an "implantation" bleed, occurring when the pregnancy implants in the uterine lining. Another possibility is an ectopic pregnancy, which is a pregnancy occurring outside of the uterus, these can cause bleeding as well as pain. The safest and surest way to determine early pregnancy is to have a serum (blood) pregnancy test, which can be done at your local health department at low cost, or your doctor's office.

you can do a test whilst on your period so the first thing you need to do is to find out if you are or have been pregnant.

Go buy a test and do it tomorrow morning with your very first pee as this is when the HCG hormone is strongest! If it is positive you need to go to your doctor straight away as it could be a miscarriage but sometimes women bleed during the first couple of months of pregnancy, it just depends on your body. If you have been clotting there is a chance you could be miscarrying. but make sure you get a test and do it, dont leave it cause if you are pregnant you need to see a doctor!!

Maybe your stomach hurts from the stress of having unprotected sex? I think you need to see a doctor, so you learn more about how to prevent pregnancy. It sounds like you are too young to be having sex, too. Maybe you should back off until you're older or more mature.
