If I have to answer, I rarely ask questions.
Regarding any one asking pointless questions, my experience is, though the question apparently appear pointless, if it is tackled properly, so much will come out of it.
While answering I found like that and many questions yielded lot of information, that the questioner some times admire for the answer.
So if you think that you ask many such questions, you also become one responsible for extracting lot of unknown information and I like you. My Love and blessings to you.

I do that because it's not really waste of points since I am guaranteed the 3 points back when I choose the best answer. Total, it will be loss of only 2 points.

Yeah, there's some more pointless ones hidden in my old questions... yeah it's kinda fun sometimes, but sometimes if you search your possible question you may reconsider just because you see how many people may have asked the same question before.
