Actually there are a lot of Organizations needing volunteers that are truly helping the sick, and the poor. Have you tried to locate a list of International Relief Organization on the Internet? It may just be available. May God Bless You for your good heart.

You know, a lot of Christian organizations will only help those whose families convert. Such as the Children's Fund, which dropped Christian from the name to try to hide that fact. How about something that helps children otherwise? The Urban Poor Child Organization works to help poor street kids in Ghana. Medical Benevolence Foundation provides hope & healing to those in need, including funding for medical services & supplies, nutrition, orphan care, community development, & medical mission workers. SOS Children's Villages works with children with AIDS. Of course, if you're dead set on Christian charity, there is the Hope Missions. Which works with orphans, widows, helping with all sorts of life skills.
