I have a bathroom where 3 things are connected to one main drain underground, a sink, a toilet and a bath/shower. I noticed the toilet water was moving in the toilet yesterday, and today the toilet is draining very slow & when I had the shower on the toilet was bubbling. This also happened when I was trying to drain the sink water. The shower didn't drain too well this morning, so I put liquid plumber in and it seemed to help, but the toilet still didn't drain too well. It's still doing it. I put water in the tub again and it drained slow as well as the toilet, I plunged it a couple times and water started coming into the tub, I stopped up the tub and the toilet drained, again, slow, but faster then it had been. I opened up the drain for the shower and it went out fine, but still the toilet is draining very slow. The toilet is also draining completely, the water doesn't stop where it usually does, but rather most if not all the water drains out of the toilet. Any ideas? Thanks

if you have a septic tank, might be time to get it drained, but it also could be a major clog, do you have kids? also if its a older tank and line, the line could have collapsed, drive anything heavy across your lawn lately? notice any wet spots in the yard? if your city swer then its definitly a clog call roto router

Your drain line could be partially blocked, causing the slow drainage. Picture how a funnel works and youve got the idea... put the liquid down it faster than the small opening will allow thru, and it fills the top of the funnel.

The blockage could be right there where the three drains come together... or farther down, but if youre not having any problems with the drains in the rest of the house... then it is between those drains, and these that are slow (so its not a septic tank, if you had one)

You could call in a plumber to snake the line out...or RotoRooter. If it is just blocked that will take care of it.

If the line has caved in, or been crushed for whatever reason, then it will have to be replaced. This means digging it out, or having a special liner installed. The special liner is a relatively new product, in the last few years.... they can slip in a sleeve made of fiber material, coated with a resin. Once it is in place, they can blow it up like a balloon, to expand, and force out any crushed area of the pipe. Once the resin hardens, it stays expanded. Neat product. Its a good compromise when you can't afford to actually dig up the pipe to replace it.

Good Luck
