Whats are the main differences between the 40 Gb and 60Gb besides memory. I'm trying to figure out which one I want. I would buy a 360 but I "need" to buy Metal gear.

The 40GB PS3 cannot play PS2 games, but it can play PS1 games. It has 2 USB ports, and it doesn't have the digital camera flash card slots.

The 60GB PS3 is backward compatible with almost every PS2 and PS1 game. It has the digital camera flash card slots and 4 USB ports.

Both models have built in WiFi, Bluetooth, and a Web browser.

But if you want to buy Metal Gear Solid 4, it's only coming out on the PS3. There were a bunch of crazy rumors earlier this year that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be coming out for the Xbox 360, but Hideo Kojima said a E3 this year that it will remain a PS3 exclusive, and on Oct. 31st Konami issued a statement on their website that stated that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be only for the PS3 as well.

Also, there is a separate Metal Gear Solid game coming out around the time of MGS4 as well called Metal Gear Online, and it's going to be only for the PS3 as well. Metal Gear Solid 4 will be just one of the many games for 2008 that will make the PS3 a must have. Go with the PS3 for sure.
