Roz - sweetie. Do you even know how many admirers (male and female) you have on some stupid Q&A site? People who see how truly beautiful you are (inside and out) having never even met you. That cannot even compare to the lives you have touched in real life. Your true beauty shines through the computer screen (and I am not talking about your obvious physical beauty - I refer to your kindness, intelligence, and compassion). Think about the lives of children that you have influenced in Ethiopia, Roz. You are such a beautiful young lady, in EVERY way. Remember, cream always rises to the top. You will survive, a stronger person, whatever it is you are going through right now. You have so many people, on here alone, who love you, sweetie.

Plus, LOST comes back February 8th. That's something to look forward to. ;)

I felt this way a few years ago. It was near the end of college, actually. College can be a really hard time to get through in life. However, it has more to do with your age than anything else. There are actually scientific studies that prove that the early twenties are a time of sadness for most people. Believe me, it will pass.

When this happened to me, I felt SO lonely it was like even when people were around I was still lonely. I also felt like I wasn't like a lot of other college people who just "soaked up" college life. I never got into that and when I tried, I was more depressed than before. You know what, though? I looked at the situation and I realized that at some point in my life, I'd have to go through a period of loneliness because everybody does. So, I told myself that it didn't matter if I was lonely I'd be happy. I learned to be content even if I was just by myself and then I found my happiness coming back. I haven't felt that loneliness since.

Let this time change you for the better. Tough times come to all of us, but they can make us more resilient than we were before.

Listen, life seems incredibly tough at times. However, most of the time we make our problems a lot worse than what they are by constantly worrying about them.

You feel lonely? Call some friends and have a night somewheere. My email is always open if its ever necessary.

You will make it through this trying time, that is for sure.

Roz if are feeling this bad please seek some help. Its normal to go through some pretty crappy times in life. But things do get better and if you are worrying about being lonely I think that you most probably need to take time to work on yourself and figure out what makes you tick. Please remember that no person no matter how great they may be can truly bring you happiness they can only share in the happiness create together. Last to comments when your are happy with yourself and not looking for a relationship means your are probably ready for one. Being with someone because you are lonely you'll only get someone that doesn't respect you. Please take care and try to remember that is it is always darkest before dawn.

Girl, look how many of us here care about you. Not only do you have the stress of college, you seem to have lost a love. If they let you go they are not worthy of the pain you are allowing yourself to feel. You are a strong, beautiful young woman who touches so many lives. You are going to be so much stronger when you "come out the other side" of this pain. Please talk to some of us who care..take care and don't get all self-destructive over this- we need you.

You are not alone in this. Most people have gone through those types of periods. Do voluntary work, find an interest in life like a hobby or a craft, take a class just for fun, go to some interesting places even if it is nearby. Most important of all, make friends. :) :) :)

You are dwelling too much on the negative. Just sit back and think of all you have going for you. You are an intelligent and compassionate and this is just a rough patch and when you get through this there is no where to go but up.

I hope you feel better soon

You are a good person Roz! I don't know you other than the things I read that you've written. But most of the things that I have read reflect a warm. deeply feeling individual. Things will get better for you, they have to. The holidays are usually big depression triggers. Please hang in there. You are a wonderful person.
