My husband's Grandma passed away a couple of days ago so the Thanksgiving feast was cancelled. We weren't able to make it so I made a lovely feast at home for us and the children. We had a blast chunking turkey at the open mouths of the cats and dogs in the house, giggled at everyone's big bellies, and waited to see who could eat the most dinner and desert. I lost to a 9 and an 11 year old!!!!! Pretty sad! But bless his heart, my husband found some much needed happiness today, and I hope you and yours found some peace and thankfulness for the past years givings and that next year you find even more to be thankful for!

Great Thanksgiving!

Outstanding turkey, moist and delicious! Amazing sausage and sourdough stuffing (baked in a side dish, of course) - gotta get that recipe... Wonderful potatoes, range of veges, killer pecan-raspberry-asiago green salad...sweet potatoe and pinapple casserole - incredible hordeovres...

Four desserts - apple pie, pumpkin pie, lemon tart and a very unique and tasty peanut butter pie.

Man, my family can COOK!!!

I've been nearly comatose for 3 hours and am just starting to perk up... And I even came home with the carcass and had it in a pot simmering since I got in the door.

My thanksgiving was great because of the amazing feast we all put on together and for spending time with family. Some of the kids (now teens) I rarely see were there and it was great!!

I had a very nice Thanksgiving because we got to spend the day with family. Since we all live in different areas we don't get to see each other much. We went out to eat, then come back to our house and enjoyed our time together. Glad you had a good day too.

Mine was unique and very welcomed. Grandkids are in custody issue, so 1 was not here, the other 2 my daughter went with ex so to be sure they would be safe while his family got drunk. So I had whole day to myself to wake up late, not have to rush and cook and have everything perfect...Took my own mom out for dinner and movie(fred claus that's $5 bucks I wish I had back)...and then home to do some nice quiet time putting out candles to make it smell good and resting on couch..Happy Thanksgiving indeed :)

Mine was so-so. I have 4 kids: My 23-year old daughter lives in Texas (I live in Illinois), and my 20 and 16 year old daughters decided that their boyfriends and their parents were more important than spending time with the mother that they put through hell while they were growing up..........but I spent an entire quality day with my 15 year old son, so it wasn't all bad.

It wasnt the same. None of us ate together as a family. My dad was mad at my mom and me. All of my other family was out of town and my grandma was left alone. No one invited her for thaknsgiving. I argued all day with my mom about leaving my grandma out. Things just werent the same this year. *tear*

It wasn't the best one. Usually all my family gets together, but this year everybody had to work so it was just me, my dad, my aunt and cousins and that's it. No g-ma, and my mom and sis and bro all had to work! :( It was kind of boring and their presence was definitely missed. It's always merrier the more people.
