how did South Korea stop the expansion of communism but in otherhand, South Vietnam and China Republic (Taiwan) cannot?
This is my project in History question, please help me some ideas. Thanks a lot.

Well, lui has given one version... but there was also a lot of police repression and massacre of anyone vaguely suspected of democratic socialism, let alone communism... imprisonment of leftist politicians, employment of police and army who had collaborated with the Japanese, huge massacre on Cheju island in the south, youth gangs similar to the brownshirts to beat up leftists, labor union suppression.

South Korea has suffered poverty so much in the past. So instead of advancing in communism Korea developed very much its economic situation and encouraged every person to work and unite so that they can rise from poverty to what Korea is now, one of the economic giant in the world. South Korea is determined and responsible to make progress so that the people will have the necessities in life and can help other poor nation to do the same. "When there is the will there is the way" and that's why South Korea is great now.

properly with united statess help Korea became into able to end North Korea from increasing communism.. Vietnam would have prevented communism now yet they rejected the united statess help and desperate to combat against the U.S. (the vietnam conflict).
