I am sorry, I think this is a missunderstanding.

I am not talking about an abuse or sexually active...
This is about an infection she probably got because she is not cleaning herself properly (I help her at home, but she is going to school now).

Thank you for your advices. I will call a gyn or call her pediatrician, probably a OB could help.

THANKS!!!

I have been in your position. I would first try to find a female prediatrican because you should always be extremely comfortable discussing anything with your doctor or your daughters. Women/girls usually go to gynocologist when they become sexual active but if you are worried about something take her ASAP. Call your provider to find out if you need a referal to take her, also ask for a list of female pediatricans that are covered in your plan and find one you are comfortable with, get a list of gyno's too if you don't need a referal. I wish you the best!

Maybe you can take her to a female pediatrician? Of course even male doctors have seen everything, but if you suspect abuse then it could be traumatic to be examined by a male doctor.

Anyway, I don't think there is a problem with taking her to a gyno. Depending on what the symptoms are, she may or may not need a full pelvic exam, or may only need a visual inspection.

In general, it is recommended that women start to see a gyno either when they turn 18 or when they are sexually active, whichever comes first.

If you are worried about her (i'm assuming she's you're daughter?) then call your normal doctor and ask them their opinion. I knew one girl in my 3rd grade class ages ago who went every so often to the doctors because her mom kept getting worried that she had something wrong down there. She was sent to a gynecologist a week later, and they ended up finding out that she had a tumor in one of her ovaries, and that's why there were some strange symptoms going on! So if you are honestly worried about her, have your normal doctor check her out (if you are worried about the gender, perhaps contact a new pediatrician), and they can refer you to a specialist if they see fit.

She's in kindergarten and you can't take her to her doctor because he is a male? Wow. That is ridiculous. I'm 16 years old and I'm a male. All of the physicals that i have had in my life were performed by a female. My most recent was about 8 months ago and it was done by a female. You need to focus on YOUR insecurity problems before you worry about taking your daughter to a gynecologist.

Your child should not need to see a ob/gyn unless there is something of a sexual nature that you are suspecting. If this is the case, then you need to contact the police and social services, who have doctors who specialize in dealing with the trauma of this sort of thing. If you are talking about a yeast infection, then, she should see a pediatrician, and you may want to look into a female one. Your daughter is getting to that age where she will prefer a female pediatrician, or at least a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Usually girls don't need regular gyno check-ups until they begin having sexual intercourse. But if you're concerned about something you should call your pediatrician. If you're uncomfortable talking to a male doctor about, call the office and maybe you could get and appointment with a female doctor for visits like this.

Makes sense about not wanting to see a male. My younger sister started at 10 when she was having problems. A kindergarten age child sounds a bit young; though, if you suspect problems then by all means you should take her.
Only continue check ups if the obstetrician tells you to.

A gynecologist wont see her that young. Is there another pediatrician who is female in the same practice as your usual one? If so, maybe she can see her. That or ask your family doctor to refer her to a female for this visit.

Gynecologists don't have experience dealing with girls so young. You should probably take her a a pediatrician. If you're uncomfortable with your current one, find another. It's completely understandable that you'd want her to see a woman.

If your daughter has anything in her genital area that seems out of the ordinary you do need to get her to a doctor, asap. I cringe as I type this, but she may have been sexually abused. A pediatrician would be your best place to start because they do specialize in children. If she has been abused, it may be more traumatic for her to see a doctor who is not trained in handling children. Ask your pediatrician to recommend a female colleague. I sincerely wish you the best of muck with this.
