(No one is going to get this reference, so I'll just give it to you. It's from an Arte Lang stand up special from when he performed in Arizona. I thought it was hilarious when I first heard it.)

boworl, it's a joke from a stand up act. Lighten up. I've got nothing against gay people. Doesn't mean I can't laugh at a joke I find funny. I'm Polish, doesn't mean I don't laugh when I hear a new funny Polish joke. Same goes for every other joke involving someones sexuality, nationality, race, religion, home town, etc. Lighten up and laugh at the difference. Over analyzing them isn't going to make a difference. You didn't change one persons view on the world with your answer. Go be a smug bastard somewhere else.

I am not gay or homophobic. I think a person has their own self to please and I have no right to tell them what is right for them. My gay friends are intelligent and funny. They know I am straight and do not hold it against me, (thank god). I wish everyone would be less prejudiced toward the people that are different from them, they limit their lives by bigotry and close off a part of the world that is enriching. Many famous people are gay and nobody knows about most of them. Privacy of living styles is a way of life for most people no matter what they do. Heteros are obvious because the moral majority approve of their lifestyle. Gay people are generally hidden from public scrutiny because they do not want the negative attention it incurs. The homophobics are mysterious to me. They are misunderstanding the lifestyle and why they are phobic of the gays is more of a mystery to me than the gay people are. I don't think they are being openminded. If they are fearful of something there has to be a reason for it. What could it be? Is it an ingrained concept or a curosity; kind of looking at a trainwreck? Or are they wondering if they have a propensity toward that lifestyle and are programed to avoid it because of the repercussions of scrutiny? Strange how they are frightened by peaceful people that do not flaunt their sexuality. Some do but it is easily repelled. One generally can state their preference of a different taste in sex and that takes care of the problem in most cases. I do not think it is a big deal, I know what I like and have no fear or inclination to reject what people do in their personal life.

I don't have a fear of being sodomized. That would be unreasonable, and I only deal with reasonable fears.
