If you take care of them right, your scars can heal beautifully. Use Mederma and there's this other gummy sticker-like product that your doctor can prescribe for you to wear for maybe 3 months post-op. Don't go bra-less post op. Don't worry about what anyone else will think... you're doing this for YOU, right? Make sure you get a good surgeon... check references and before/after pics. Having a breast reduction is not going to be an obstacle to you finding a boyfriend. If a man is that shallow that he can't get over it and love you for you... he's not even worth it. Most guys won't even care... boobs are boobs.

Ok, I went from an H to a D, paid for it myself (as I'm UK) and it was the best thing I did. My scars are raised and I was worried about my new boyf seeing them - but I really shouldn't have worried. To put it crudely if I didn't know a guy well enough to say whether he would freak out - there's no way he'd see my boobs! As long as you don't hide the fact you've had a reduction it won't be a shock. My ex used to make jokes and call me cut & paste but that's why he's an ex! Scarring depends on how well the individual heals, if you've ever had a nasty cut it will be a pretty good indicator. I used the silicon strips, the creams, pure vitamin E - the lot and they are still noticeable.
BUT -
I'd have a reduction every single morning if it meant I could feel the way I did when I wore a backless dress for the first time.
Good luck and remember that whatever you decide, choose what's best for you.

Mine are barely noticeable. A good PS and a good patient and after care will indicate if the scars are noticeable or not.
Mederma, Scarguard, and Massaging will work wonders for scars.
Frankly, I'd rather have scars that are noticeable than huge heavy breasts that affect your back in a horrible way.
I had a reduction Feb 2006 from a 38J to a 38C and I don't regret it one bit!

Honey you should be less concerned about what others think, especially men. I am planning on having my breasts reduced and have already been through the interview with the doctor. I have alos seen some before and after photos. Obviously, we as women don't like scars especially on our beasts. You should start thinking long term though, eventually you will have major back, neck and other problems. You should keep in mind that you are still growing and if you get a reduction now they are going to continue to grow over the next few years so don't be afraid to go a little smaller. You are also going to see more and more stretch marks as your breasts comtinue to grow as well as sagging. As long as you take care of your breasts after surgery, you will have minimal scarring, less back problems, more confidence in yourself and not to mention it will not be such a hassle to be physically active. I think that you will find that the positives outweigh the negatives. But do it for YOU not for anyone else that is most important. Check out the website below for some educated advice and information.

The scarring is the highest cost of what you're contemplating.
I've only seen 'em once... I wasn't prepared. Visually, there's extensive scarring, and the scars are pretty well raised, even after time. Still, she said the surgery was a big relief.
The scars felt funky. Kinda disturbing, but as I said, I wasn't forewarned.
The fact is, only people you're going to invite are going to see the scarring, and they're not going to care so much as strangers will, so do what's best for you.

I haven't seen them but know if I decided to have the surgery it would be the least of my worries.
It is a surgery so it could have complications so only have it done if it is very important to you. Over endowed women can get back problems so that would be an excellent reason. Clothing issues can be addressed with sewing for yourself or wearing oversized tops, avoid any button down the front clothing.
I am DD without a problem but if you have it done try for just a single D if you are a large person or a C or less if you are small.
