I don't understand why they get a parade and straight people dont. Both orientations fall in love and have relationships and everything, but isn't being hetero what makes the babies and keeps the human species alive? im no homophobe, but why do they get a parade? why is their orientation celebrated so much when hetero makes life?

I'm not against them, I just wonder why they are celebrated more, sheesh! No need to be rude.

It's a celebration of the freedom to love! They march for freedom and equal rights. Think back to the 1960's with the civil rights movements; blacks marched for freedom and equal rights. During women's sufferage, women marched for freedom (to vote, own land) and equal rights. How is the evolution of humankind becoming tolerant so hard for you to get? Often times you have to ask for a mile to gain an inch. Do some research on history and broaden your view a bit, stop halting love!
PS I didn't say you are narrow minded, I said to broaden your view...there is a difference. When you know more about the history of the culture in question, you can often times answer your own question as history often repeats itself. knowledge is POWER!!!!!!!!

It's one of those things that many minorities have. Maybe they feel suppressed and a parade allows them to be proud of their minority. Another example is a Hispanic pride parade. There's not a Caucasian or white parade is there? It all has to do with discrimination, which is what America is based on. Americans just want to be safe and give people parades so that they won't rise up and say they're being discriminated against.

1. straight people have parades
2. homosexuality is more widely accepted than in the past. So the celebration comes from having been shunned as abnormal in the past, which straights have not experienced.
3. yes heteros breed, but both straights and gays use in vitro fertilization to become parents.

Perhaps we should start our own parade?
I think it´s because it´s so difficult to admit you are **** that when you do you want to celebrate it in some way.
