Looking for a little more specific info than 'yes, they were wrong'...who were they what was there hypothesis, how did they conduct the experiments, what were the outcomes? This type of info...

I think that info could be hard to find. probably destroyed or hidden by now. you know like the way germans treated hitler or WWII............. they just didn't write about it in history books and till this day ignore the fact hilter was even alive.

An experiment of pendulum might be done about 120 years ago.
Observation of lunar or sun eclipse to prove that the earth was moving had been done long before that.
