I doubt if her Conservative audience would even care if she was. She speaks intelligently and thoughtfully, and has facts to back her positions. That's all they really care about.
The people who care about this enough to even discuss it are, oddly enough, the Liberals who accuse Conservatives of being sheet-wearing, gay-bashing, close-minded buffoons who need federal laws to keep them from treating transgendered people differently from anyone else.
Just to bring this up demonstrates your hypocrisy. Just stop pretending that "Liberal"="Intelligent" if you're gonna go down this road, since the really intelligent people see right through it.
