Just a bit of stress - watching after my Mom who has Alzheimers, but who joins us on every family get together. I just kept reminding myself how lucky I am to still have her in my life.
The food, comraderie, love and laughter amongst all of us was joyful!

I wouldn't call my Thanksgiving Day relaxing, but it wasn't stressful either. We worked hard to prepare our meal, and we enjoyed each other's company. We had fun! Extended family members and a few friends gathered at a local park for our feast. We prepared most of the food at home, carted everything to the park, used a rented pavillion, and everyone helped set up (well, almost everyone, the 2 month old just watched). Ages ranged from 2 months old to 80 years old. We ate, played games, and laughed all day. Not one temper tantrum, no serious injuries, only a couple of brief whining episodes, no arguments, just 6 hours without TV or video games. I'm very thankful!

I didn't get stressed out this year, because my husband did
the cooking. He was the one stressed out and a bear because of some things not going well. I stayed out of his
way to keep the peace. And at one point, I must have been
hypnotized by watching the monitor, as I fell asleep sitting
right here with Yahoo Answers. LOL. And I had the worst
nightmare to end all nightmares. How I didn't fall out of my
computer chair, I can't imagine. And our grandson, didn't
notice I was asleep, and my husband was too busy to care
LOL. Funny thing is I didn't know I was all that sleepy. And
I just went out in a quick second. So I was far from stressed
myself today LOL.

I only stressed when the highway I needed to go on was closed. I asked for directions and relaxed the rest of the time.

Mostly relaxed. Husband did most of the cooking, I helped. And I washed & put away dishes as we went, so there would not be too many to do after dinner. (That didn't work. There were still tons of dishes after dinner.)
Turkey got done early, bought the pies this year. Company showed up a bit early. so we didn't have to try to keep stuff warm.
It was a good day. No angry words, no yelling, no tears. Lots of laughter and blessing countings.

I didnt have stress at all... I had bought a large portion of the food so others did the cooking and clean up. It was a very relaxing day since I got to sleep in for a little while.
Did you have a good day? I hope so.

I am 66 years old, and my family has had Thanksgiving dinner together for as long as I can remember. When my grandmother was still alive, 36 years ago, we always had Thanksgiving at her house. After we ate, we played football for a couple of hours, and then played poker for real money. The young people usually won the football game, and the older people usually won poker.
After my grandmother died, Thanksgiving was scattered for several years; sometimes at my father and mother's house, sometimes my middle sister's house. For the past 10 years we have gathered for Thanksgiving dinner at a niece's. She is one of six children, and has the biggest house!
My father is dead now. My mother is 86, and the "glue" that keeps us all together. No child, their spouse, grandchild, their spouse, or great grandchild would even consider missing Thanksgiving dinner. Mother-in-laws, Father-in-laws, even ex spouses are expected to come to the family Thanksgiving dinner!
Same for Christmas.

Relaxed! I planned my menu withthe family days in advance. Shopped twice and sent people back for other ingredients twice.
Daughters made the desserts I cooked the ham & turkey, dressing, yeast rolls. Then relaxed while they finished up the veggies. We washed up as we messed up and by 3:15 it was neat and we were rubbing our bellies.
